Welcome to the Southern Living Idea House 2019 - Part 2. In this post we highlight the interiors of this new-old home situated on Crane Island, Florida. This coastal property was built by Riverside Custom Homes, architects were Jim Strickland and Clay Rokicki from Historical Concepts, and design and decor by Heather Chadduck Hillegas. All photos were taken by Laurey W. Glenn and styled by Liz Strong for Southern Living. We have included as many Sherwin Williams paint colors and designsources as possible - so when something catches your eye for your own home, you will know where to look!
Separated by columns, the Southern Living Idea House Living Room is open to the entry - allowing ambient light to filter in. It boasts the same blue and white color palette found on the exterior the home. Velvet chairs, striped ottomans, and a 110 Lee Industries sofa (fabric Sutton Pebble) provide plenty of space to converse and relax. The antique sofa is from Heather Chadduck Interiors. Sherwin Williams Paint Colors include SW Classic White Buff (SW 0050) on the walls, trim and bookcases, and SW Pure White on the ceiling. A picture hanging system made of brass incorporates the coastal theme with prints of cranes.
Another view of the Southern Living Idea House Living Room. Faux painted beams add warmth while the V groove paneled walls add texture. The blue and white pots, throws, garden stools, and antique table and lamps are all from Heather ChadduckDesigns. French doors open to the outside living area. The lush blue velvet chairs on each side of the fireplace are from Lee Industries.

Doesn't everyone needs a pot filler for the dog bowl?! A cushioned bench (obviously for the dog!) with drawers, hooks for towels and hats, and a shelf lined with framed photographs make fantastic use space in the Idea House Mudroom. The floor ishandpainted with a white border - the windows are by Marvin and the interior moveable part is painted with SW 6202 Grecian Iron
We love the contrast of the black chalkboards against the white cabinetry.
The Southern Living Idea House Gameroom provides a perfect corner for board games. We love the blue and white striped wallpaper (Fabricut 50163W Cambric/Oxford), the banquette by Lee Industries, white game table, rattan chairs and bookcase, and the lovely pretty botanical prints (Ornis Gallery).
The large Kitchen island boasts a farmhouse sink and quartz countertops. Neutral toned Gracie Wallpaper above the range adds a tropical flair. To add texture, the hood is covered in Venetian plaster, the cabinetry is Sherwin Williams Paint in SW
Tinsmith (SW 7657). Made to look like the cabinetry, double doors lead to a hidden pantry. Appliances are by Thermador and are hidden by coordinating cabinet doors.
Providing plenty of space for storage, the Pantry features open shelving, baskets, trays, and metal pullout drawers. The skirt provides a hiding spot for a trash can or additional storage space.
In the Dining Room, a checkerboard motif was handpainted on the floors using the same Sherwin Williams paint colors found on the walls and trim. For easy conversation, Heather Chadduck Designs chose a round pedestal table with contrasting white chairs upholstered with a fresh blue and white fabric. In the evening, a large antique lantern lights the room.
This Laundry Room is ready to go with its' double set of stackable washers and dryers! Both the floor and countertop are made of black slate and the lantern mirrors it beautifully. Sister Parish wallpaper with its' matching fabric on the Roman Shadegives the room a cozy feel.
The Powder Room Bath features a marble top sink with brass legs and an unlacquered brass faucet by Waterworks. The wainscoting is perfectly matched to the wallpaper - Sherwin Williams Paint - SW 6228 Refuge. The bold blue and white patterned wallpaper is from Meg Braff Designs.
Nothing but blue skies in this Southern Living Idea House Bedroom - the blue ceiling was painted Sherwin Williams Seasalt SW 6204. Reminiscent of older homes, the baseboards are also painted a Williamsburg blue.
Heather Chadduck Designs cleverly uses every inch of space in the Bunk Bedroom. Four built-in bunk beds each have their private space with lighting, Heather Chadduck's beaded pillows and neutral-toned bedding from Southern Living. Shiplap walls match the sides of the beds and Schumacher wallpaper and fabric are incorporated on the ceiling and curtains. Does it look like a bit of mercury glass on that chandelier?
The Southern Living Idea House boasts a fresh look with classic touches like gray, blue and white penny round tile flooring.
Another view of the above bath - we love the skirted farmhouse sink and wall mounted chrome faucets and soap dish.
Green is in back in vogue in the Idea House Master Bathroom. The cast iron tub was matched to Sherwin Williams Rookwood Dark Green (SW 2616). Room standouts include double vanities topped with antique white Quartzite, vintage style polished nickel fixtures, and a warm- hued flowered wallpaper. The white linen sheers on the windows are light and airy, but add just enough for privacy.
What beautiful shades of green and blue are found in the Queen Bath! Heather Chadduck coordinated the flowered wallpaper with fabric on the Roman shade. Circa lighting single sconce, wall mounted polished nickel faucet, Carrera marble countertop and vanity painted Sherwin Williams Jasper Stone SW 9133.
